Prof. Yang Zhao , University of Science and Technology of China

赵旸教授，中国科学技术大学

Professor Yang Zhao got her B.S. and M.S. from the Department of Modern Mechanics, University of Science and Technology of China in 1994, and 1997, respectively.  She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of California-Berkeley in 2002.  From 2004 to 2007, Dr. Zhao served as Principal Engineer in Atlas Scientific, working on carbon nanotube based thermal interface materials.  She joined Nano Energy Lab in UC Berkeley as lab manager in 2007.  In 2012, she joined the Chinese Academy of Science-Hefei Institute of Science as a research fellow.  She has worked as a full-time professor in the Department of Precision Machinery and Precision Instrumentation, University of Science and Technology of China since 2013.  Her research interests are in manufacturing and characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures, thermal transport in nanostructures and it’s applications in energy.

赵旸教授于1994年本科毕业于中国科技大学近代力学系，1997年获中国科技大学近代力学系硕士学位，2002年获美国加州大学伯克利分校机械工程系博士学位，2003年在美国加州大学伯克利分校机械工程系纳米能源实验室作博士后工作，2004年至2007年6月任美国硅谷一家小型科研公司（Atlas Scientific)研究员，2007 年开始在美国加州大学伯克利分校机械工程系纳米能源实验室任实验室主管，2009年，同时兼任Atlas公司主任研究员。2012年底任中国科学院合肥物质科学研究院先进制造技术研究所研究员，数字化技术中心副主任，2013年加入中国科学技术大学精密机械与精密仪器系任教授。赵教授的科研方向主要集中在微纳米工程材料的制造与表征，纳米材料、结构中的热传导及其在能源领域的应用。
